MedRisk's CEO Shelley Boyce elected to WCRI Board of DirectorsKING OF PRUSSIA, PA. (June 27, 2007) Shelley Boyce, CEO of MedRisk, Inc., has been named to the board of directors of the Workers Compensation Research Institute (WCRI). The institute’s Board of Directors, a representative group that is elected by the membership for staggered three-year terms, is responsible for all policymaking activities. Ms. Boyce joins executives from companies such as AT&T, Gallagher Bassett, The Hartford, Liberty Mutual, Marriott International, and Travelers. A pioneer in the development of physical medicine treatment strategies for the workers’ compensation industry, Boyce founded MedRisk in the early 1990s and has since grown the company into a leading provider of workers’ compensation medical management programs and claims services. Her commitment to evidence-based medicine led her to form a separate clinical research and academic subsidiary, Expert Clinical Benchmarks (ECB), which reviews and codifies the latest physical medicine research results to support the development and continued maintenance of workers’ compensation specific evidence-based physical medicine treatment guidelines. A former chair of the WCRI Core Funders Committee, Boyce holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia.
