MedRisk and Prime Health announce Strategic Alliance

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA. (Nov. 1, 2006) – Prime Health Services (Prime Health), a National Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), has announced a strategic alliance with MedRisk, Inc. The agreement enables Prime Health’s customers to access MedRisk’s Expert Provider Organization (EPO) of workers’ compensation physical medicine specialists.

“At Prime Health, we are committed to providing our clients with the best services and savings in the industry,” said Brian Sharp, CEO of Prime Health. “Since physical medicine represents 20 to 30 percent of the workers’ compensation medical dollar, MedRisk’s specialty service for managing this segment will bring significant value to our clients.”

The arrangement allows Prime Health’s customers access to more than 15,000 physical and occupational therapists as well as more than 12,000 chiropractors in MedRisk’s EPO.

“We’re delighted to be working with Prime Health,” said Shelley Boyce, CEO of MedRisk, Inc. “Through our unique diagnostic reimbursement program and our evidence-based medical management program, Prime Health’s clients will enjoy lower physical medicine costs and better outcomes.”
