MedRisk’s Expert Clinical Benchmarks, LLC Presented in the Orthopedic Section of the APTA Combined Sections Meeting

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA. (Feb 7, 2006) – Expert Clinical Benchmarks, LLC, the clinical research and academic arm of MedRisk, Inc., presented “Evidence-based Clinical Practices Guidelines: Low Back and Ankle Sprain Guidelines” at the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting in San Diego California (Feb. 1-5, 2006).

Discussing evidence-based Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG), the presentation described how CPGs are developed, tested and used in clinical practice. Guidelines for low-back pain and ankle sprains were presented along with the outcomes of their implementation.

In addition, Roger Nelson, PT, PhD, FAPTA, who heads ECB, along with Kevin Basile, PT, MS, OCS, MTC, MedRisk’s director of clinical services, and Matthew Heintzleman, PT, OCS, a MedRisk CERTExpert® Professional Reviewer, delivered a poster board presentation: “The Consistency of Patient Documentation from Initial Evaluation to Re-Evaluations to End-of-Care in Patients Covered by Workers’ Compensation.”
