MedRisk expands EPO Network with 8,000 Chiropractors

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA. (July 10, 2006) – MedRisk, Inc. has expanded its physical medicine provider network by significantly increasing the number of chiropractors. MedRisk’s customers can now access expert chiropractic care for work-related injuries in 26 states.

“This major expansion brings MedRisk’s unique per visit and episodic reimbursement management methodology to over 8,000 thousand chiropractors, broadening our customers’ unsurpassed savings into this critical area of physical medicine service,” said Shelley Boyce, president of MedRisk.

Under the EPO arrangement, physical medicine providers agree to a unique reimbursement system based on diagnosis and the chronicity and severity of work-related injuries, which controls cost through the clinical management of utilization, and ensures quality practice standards. MedRisk’s EPO typically delivers savings on physical medicine claims that are between 30 and 40 percent below fee schedule and UC&R. The EPO now offers chiropractic services in Calif., Colo., Conn., D.C., Del., Fla., Ga., Ind., Ill., Kan., Ky., Md., Minn., Mo., N.C., N.J., N.Y., Okla., Ore., Pa., S.C., Tenn., Texas, Va., and Wis.
