This individual will also assist in mentoring a team using primarily Waterfall project management methodologies as they transition to a more Agile approach.
Using a high level of knowledge and experience, the APM will blend traditional project management principles and practices with an emerging Agile development approach. They will also reinforce industry standard iterative practices to assist the team in delivering on time for mission-critical, enterprise-level projects. The APM will be able to confidently define project scope, requirements, and schedules, distribute status reports, manage product owner expectations, and champion process improvement initiatives that support the implementation of an Agile project management strategy.
The qualified candidate should possess a solid understanding of SDLC models, as well as an understanding of both Agile and traditional project management principals. They should have a proven track record of successfully implementing complex software technologies, including at least 5+ years as a project manager. We are seeking an individual with prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies (scrum master certification preferred). Duties will also include collaborating with business owners and helping to develop solutions to complex problems.
Those who will excel in this position have solid communication skills and the desire to work as part of a close knit team of professionals. They should have strong analytical, planning, and organization skills with the proven ability to lead multiple projects concurrently, and deliver on time solutions. A BA or BS, or equivalent work experience is required, and a strong understanding of Agile tools, including JIRA.
