Shelley L. Boyce, Executive Chairman and Founder
Shelley Boyce is the founder and chief visionary of MedRisk. She holds an active role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction and product development initiatives. Ms. Boyce pioneered the company’s original managed care concepts and programs. Her extensive industry experience and innovative approach has influenced how the industry views traditional managed care and claims service offerings. Ms. Boyce holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia.
Mike Ryan, President and CEO
Mike Ryan is responsible for establishing strategic processes, overseeing new business development initiatives and driving company performance. An accomplished, results-driven leader, Mr. Ryan brings extensive industry experience in strategic planning, branding, marketing, and business development to the organization. Under his leadership, MedRisk has grown into the largest managed care organization dedicated to the physical rehabilitation of injured workers. Mr. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey.
Michelle Buckman, Chief Operating Officer
Michelle Buckman leads the company-wide processes for customer service including scheduling, quality assurance, customer and clinical advocacy, customer issue resolutions, and provider claim inquiries. In her previous role as Vice President of Operations, she led a company-wide transformation of the MedRisk Customer Support Center, by developing the Customer Advocacy Team – the case coordinator program of MedRisk. Ms. Buckman began her career at MedRisk in 2010 as the Consumer Marketing Manager, where she made great strides in developing MedRisk’s communications platform for adjusters and nurse case managers. Ms. Buckman earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.
Victor Pytleski, Chief Information Officer
Victor Pytleski leads the company’s application services and infrastructure. Mr. Pytleski’s leadership, which includes his previous role as Vice President of IT, has been critical to MedRisk’s management and implementation of client-facing programs and technology-related initiatives. Mr. Pytleski has more than 20 years’ experience, including 16 years in the managed care/insurance industry, directing business integration and implementation processes at MedRisk. Mr. Pytleski earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He also has a Master’s Certificate in Project Management and a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Villanova University, Philadelphia. He also received Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute.
Mary O’Donoghue, Chief Clinical and Product Officer
Mary O’Donoghue is responsible for MedRisk’s new product and business line development as well as strategic leadership of all clinical programs and research. A dynamic industry expert, Ms. O’Donoghue comes to MedRisk with over 25 years of experience in the managed care, group health, disability and workers’ compensation industries having held senior leadership positions in strategic planning, operations management and product development with top carriers, third party administrators and managed care organizations. A Registered Nurse by trade, Mary O’Donoghue brings a strong clinical background and extensive industry experience to the MedRisk team.
Tom Weir, Chief Financial Officer
Tom Weir is responsible for the financial strength of the company. A seasoned finance executive, Mr. Weir combines public accounting experience with proven leadership skills and outstanding communication and analytical abilities. His extensive expertise in technical accounting issues, SEC reporting and compliance requirements are critical to the continued financial growth and security of MedRisk. Mr. Weir has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Management from North Carolina State University.
Jamie Davis, Executive Vice President of Sales Management
Jamie Davis is Executive Vice President of Sales Management at MedRisk, where she successfully designs and implements both national and regional sales strategies to facilitate market growth.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the workers’ compensation and managed care industry, Ms. Davis has held various sales management, account management and leadership roles. Prior to joining MedRisk, Ms. Davis’ past experiences include serving as Manager, National Accounts and Director of Sales for Coventry Workers Compensation Services. She also served as Director of Risk Management Services at SBMC, a risk consulting and managed care organization.
Jennifer Tronc, Executive Vice President of Account Management
Jennifer Tronc is the Executive Vice President of Account Management at MedRisk. She is responsible for overseeing MedRisk’s client business development, designing and implementing joint strategies that maximize program value for MedRisk’s customers.
An insurance industry executive, Ms. Tronc brings more than 20 years of experience in the workers’ compensation industry. She spent the majority of her career in claims management and managed care positions at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest workers’ compensation insurers.
Ms. Tronc earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications from Illinois State University and her AIC and CPCU from the Insurance Institutes of America.
Chris Neil, Executive Vice President, Client Strategy and Solutions
Chris Neil calls upon his strong background in strategic planning and relationship management within the workers’ compensation managed care industry to continually improve and refine internal and external customer-facing workflows, processes and solutions. He works closely with all of MedRisk’s departments to enhance the way services are delivered. Chris came to MedRisk with more than 17 years of experience in specialty managed care programs for the workers’ compensation industry and has extensive technical and operational process knowledge along with strong relationships with providers, vendors and payers. Chris holds a degree in marketing from Florida State University.
Rommy Blum, Executive Vice President of Marketing
Rommy Blum oversees all aspects of MedRisk’s marketing, communication, public relations and social media strategies and is responsible for advancing MedRisk’s position as the single largest specialty managed care organization dedicated to the management of physical medicine for injured workers. With more than 20 years of experience in planning and directing strategic B2B marketing and communications programs, Ms. Blum works collaboratively across the organization to leverage insights to develop creative marketing programs that increase brand awareness, value and differentiation in the marketplace.
Ms. Blum has served as Chair of the Exhibits Advisory Committee of the Risk and Insurance Management Society and is a member of the American Marketing Association. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
