With ICD 10 implementation just a few weeks away, the leader in physical medicine services is ready to accept ICD 10 codes from network providers.

As of October 1st 2015, The Federal Government is requiring medical bills to be converted to the 10th Edition of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems. The conversion from the current coding system will impact clinical modification diagnoses and procedure codes.

The transition to ICD 10 is set to propel healthcare into the future with up to 68,000 new codes, which will offer enhanced data for evaluating and improving the quality of patient care. To prepare for the ICD 10 conversion, MedRisk has upgraded its proprietary systems to accept ICD 10 coding, as well as trained its staff on the new coding procedures to ensure that the transition is seamless.

Even though the new ICD 10 codes are effective starting October 1st, MedRisk will also be able to process bills that are submitted with ICD 9 codes.
