David Deitz, MD, PhD, has joined MedRisk, the leader in physical rehabilitation for the workers’ compensation industry, as medical advisor and member of its International Scientific Advisory Board.  Most recently, he was the national medical diagnostic imaging director of commercial insurance claims for Liberty Mutual Insurance.

“Having worked with MedRisk for many years, I know many senior staff and ISAB members personally and others by reputation and look forward to working with them to provide the best possible advice in the development and execution of medical management programs,” said Dr. Deitz.

Dr. Deitz has 25 years’ experience in managed care, healthcare outcomes evaluation and reporting, and utilization management systems. Prior to Liberty Mutual, he oversaw content development of managed care software and reporting systems that were successfully deployed at insurers nationwide.

“David’s in-depth knowledge of customer, provider and patient needs will be invaluable in the implementation of MedRisk’s medical management programs for delayed recovery and other new program development,” said MedRisk CEO Shelley Boyce.
