“Personalized care” may be a buzz word for some, but for Sydney Saban, MSOT, OTRL, founder of Individualized Quality Therapy, it’s a way of doing business.
The Lansing, Michigan-based occupational therapy practice focuses on treatment from “shoulder to fingertip,” including injured worker rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation, activities of daily living (ADL) retraining and custom fabrication (e.g., braces, splints). In order to deliver these services in a personalized fashion, the practice, founded earlier this year, roots its operations in three core values.
The first, according to Saban, is an individualized approach to occupational therapy. As the practice’s sole clinician, Saban sees four to seven patients a day, but each receives a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs.
“Whether you have experienced an injury, are having pain, have had surgery or injured yourself at work, we have a program that will work for you,” she said.
Secondly, the practice focuses on delivering quality care, often going above and beyond what is expected during a time of injury.
According to patient Christy P., “Sydney was there for me during my initial physical therapy, my doctor’s appointment leading up to the surgery, along with taking the time to be in the operating room during the procedure. I am one week out of surgery, and Sydney has continued to stay in contact with me to make sure I am well.”
Finally, Saban considers integrity to be a cornerstone of her practice, and the needs of her patients are always the top priority.
Individualized Quality Therapy offers specialized services to support the needs of injured workers including return-to-work programs, pain management with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) protocol and improving function. Appointments are available Monday through Friday based on availability and patient need.
